Upside Down Kingdom - John 18
March 17, 2024 Pastor: Steve Osborn Series: Upside Down Kingdom
Scripture: John 18
This Sunday we transition from Jesus' farewell discourse (ch. 14-16) and High Priestly prayer (ch. 17) to the fast-paced narrative of his trial and crucifixion. We'll see Jesus betrayed and arrested, yet fully in charge. Labeled as an "evil-doer", yet never accused of a crime. Questioned by a conflicted governor, as the King of kings and source of all that "came into being" (Jn. 1:4). Which includes, of course, every single person in every single scene. Why such seeming chaos and confusion? To "drink the cup which the Father has given." (John 18:11) And in so doing to turn the world upside down.
