Modern Exiles | 1 Peter 2:4-10 - Built to Last
October 6, 2024 Pastor: Ryan Rosenbaum Series: Modern Exiles - 1 Peter
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:4–10
In this passage we see the Old Testament fulfill in Jesus as the chief cornerstone. We learn how Jesus is a rock upon which one's life is built or a rock in which causes one to stumble. It is this foundation that allows the movement of Christians throughout the earth to last through every challenge.
Our hope is built on something that lasts longer than the economy, political movements, and even nations. Our hope is in the unchanging nature of Jesus. This perspective frees us to live on the mission God has for His church "to bring glory to His name and to represent His character to the ends of the earth".
