Whether you are new to faith or if you are simply new to Seacoast, our growth track is designed to create environments and clear next steps that will help you grow as a follower of Jesus and they will help you get connected in the life of our church.
DISCOVER
Say "yes" to Jesus
Our Spiritual journey really begins when we decide to follow Jesus. If you are ready to allow Jesus to be the Lord of your life for the first time, or perhaps you have drifted away and are ready to come back to Jesus, let us know and someone from our team will reach out to you to help on the path.
Get Baptized
Once you have made a decision to follow Jesus, we are told in the Scriptures to get baptized. Baptism is an outward symbol of what God has already done within you and we love celebrating with each person who takes this step. Click below to let us know you are ready for this step!
Attend Seacoast Next
Whether you are new to the faith, or you are simply new to Seacoast, Seacoast Next is the place where we invite everyone to attend so we can help customize your faith journey. This is an 1.5 hour brunch where we will help you understand who we are as a church and what we value and what we invite you to experience with us.
GROW
COMMIT TO GROWTH
Part of your own growth as a Christian is learning to "own" your faith. This includes committing to regularly participating in Sunday Worship Gatherings and it includes growth the rest of the week. We provide training and opportunities to help you learn spiritual practices that can contribute to owning your faith. Personal reading of scripture, prayer & fasting, generosity, worship, silence and solitude, and practicing a sabbath are all practices that can help you grow. Look for opportunities for training in these areas throughout the year.
Join a Serve Team
As followers of Jesus, we are made uniquely and we are invited to use our gifts, our passions, and our experiences to serve others. We have an array of teams in which you can share who you for the good of others. This is a great way to meet others and to get more deeply involved in the church and to grow in your faith.
Join a Group
We are made for relationships. At Seacoast, we invite everyone to consider joining a smaller group of people who you can get to know and who will get to know you. In these communities you will be able to explore the life of faith and learn from and teach others in the journey. We have a variety of groups that will allow you find the right fit for you. If this is your first group experience we encourage you to join a Rooted Group to begin your journey.
Become a Member
Though official membership is not technically commanded in Scripture, belonging to a local group of Jesus-followers who have a shared mission is a Biblical concept. Membership is a way of committing to your church community that goes beyond simply attending. You are saying, “I’m part of this family. I want to support this family. I want to be part of something bigger than me. I'm committing to this local family of God.”
Practice Generosity
There is joy in investing in something that is bigger than ourselves. As a growing follower of Jesus, we have the opportunity to invest in others in order to make an everlasting impact. One of the ways we can do this is through our financial support of the ministry. Not only does this help us accomplish God's plan for our church, but generosity allows us to grow in our freedom from things that hold us captive and it allows us to grow in our trust in God's goodness.
GO
Giving Back
We believe we are changed inwardly so we can live outwardly. In other words, God transforms us for the good of ourselves and for others. We encourage everyone to look for opportunities to participate in living outwardly.
Invite Others
As we grow in our lives as followers of Jesus, we want to become people who share our faith with others and invite them to join us in the community of faith at Seacoast. This is done as we bless others in the rhythms of our daily lives. As we build friendships, this leads to natural opportunities to share about the good news of our lives that has transformed us.
Invest in Others
There is joy in investing in something that is bigger than ourselves. As a growing follower of Jesus, we have the opportunity to invest in others in order to make an everlasting impact. This is done as we pass on the life of faith to others and through investing our time and our experiences to help others grow as disciples of Jesus (i.e. through becoming disciple-makers).
